BPN Shorts
A personal tool that finds highlight moments in live streams and uploads them as YouTube Shorts to its owner's own YouTube channel.
What it does
- Watches a live stream and reads its public chat and audio to spot high-engagement moments.
- Cuts each moment into a short vertical video with captions.
- Uploads the video to the YouTube channel its owner connected, using the YouTube Data API.
Who runs it
BPN Shorts is run privately by its developer, GitHub user GreasterBunny, on their own computer. It isn't a public service, and there's nothing to sign up for.
Google account access
When the owner connects a YouTube channel, BPN Shorts asks Google for permission to upload videos to that channel and to read the channel's name, so it can confirm which channel is connected. It doesn't access anything else. The privacy policy has the details.
BPN Shorts uses YouTube API Services.
